The January seasonal forecast shows little change from previous forecasts for this season; the effects of the 2015 El Nino still dominate and dry conditions will continue through the remainder of the 2015/2016 season. Forecasted rainfall amounts show continued low levels, similar to the previous forecast (from Dec). This results in a hydrological forecast of continued low runoff. Soil moisture will also continue to be lower than normal.
